Bridge Kids

Sunday Morning

Nursery & Preschool to Grade 6

Faith, Fun & Friends for Jesus’ Youngest Followers

Check-In / Check-Out (All Age Groups)

Check-In Time: 10:15 am

Location: Gym

All families with children from nursery to grade 6 will check in at the Bridge Kids check-in desk in the gym. This ensures safety and gives parents peace of mind during the service. Once checked in, children will go to their designated areas.

Listed below are the pickup locations for each age group:

  • Nursery (6 months – 2 years): Pick up in the nursery room.

  • Ages 3 to Senior Kindergarten (SK): Pick up in their new classroom (on the east side of the foyer).

  • Grades 1 – 6: Pick up in the gym.

If you arrive late, you must check in at the gym before heading to any classroom. Children will not be received unless they have been properly checked in.

Grades 1 – 6

After check-in, our grades 1 to 6 children begin their morning together with a time of worship. They then watch a Bible lesson from The Gospel Project curriculum. Following this, they break into age-appropriate groups for games, activities, and discussions to help them apply what they’ve learned and live out the truth.

Preschool to Senior Kindergarten (Ages 3 – SK)

Children ages 3 to SK start in the gym with the larger group for worship and the Bible story. Afterward, they transition to their new classroom for table time and age-appropriate activities.

Pick-Up Reminder: Parents must pick up their children directly from their classroom. If you have multiple children, please pick up from the gym (Grades 1 – 6) last to keep traffic flow smooth.

Nursery (6 Months – 2 Years)

We are excited to launch our Supervised Nursery on February 2, 2025 for children aged 6 months to 2 years.

Limited spots are available (leader-to-child ratio applies), so space will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If we are at capacity, parents may either stay with their child or use the Family Room space.

On the last Sunday of every month, the nursery will be a parent-supervised space.

What You Need to Know:

  • Check-in at the gym before bringing your child to the nursery.

  • Pick up from the nursery at the end of service.

  • If your child is adjusting, you are welcome to stay as a guest to help with the transition.

  • Ensure we have your current cell phone number in case we need to contact you.

  • Diaper changes are not provided—we will call you if your child needs to be changed.

We look forward to creating a safe, fun, and faith-filled environment for your little ones!

Meet Our Director of Children's Ministry

Debbie Hanks

Deb Hanks here. I’ve been on staff at The Bridge Whitby Church, working with children and youth since 2005. Currently, I’m the Director of Children's Ministry, overseeing our Bridge Kids Sunday program.

I have a heart to see people of all ages know their identity in Christ and learn how to live intentionally for Him in a world full of distractions. I value authenticity and believe that when we share our journeys and experiences, we can bring glory to God while offering hope and encouragement to others.
